Rachel Cecere

Rachel Cecere is a professional painter, glass artist and designer. Ms. Cecere's painting "Rush Hour" has been used as the cover art for the most recent recording by the jass guitarist Nat Janoff. Sh has also exhibited her paintings at the West Caldwell Public Library, was selected by the West Essex Art Association to show in their thirteenth annual juried exhibition and was honored with the "Artistic Excellence" award in 1999 by Manhattan Arts International.

In addition to painting, Ms. Cecere is the author and designer of the book, The Floral Alphabet, a stained glass design book published by SGN Publishing. A second book, Celtic Designs Adapted for Glass is due for publication by SGN Publishing in the Fall of 2000. She has been a commemorative artist commissioned by the First Presbyterian Church of Caldwell, New Jersey creating custom desings executed in glass. Ms. Cecere's works in glass were exhibited in two group shows at the Baly Studio Gallery, Montclair, New Jersey in 1998 and were most recently exhibited at Makready Press Gallery, also in Montclair.

Ms. Cecere received a B.S. degree from Caldwell College, Caldwell, New Jersey and has been a studen of artist, Sr. Gerardine Mueller, O.P. and Judith Croce.
